Erasmus Plus Project “Farmers Competences Coalition”- The first in person meeting

“Congratulation everyone for the organization of the meeting and for the successful work we are all doing”: great enthusiasm during the first in person meeting of the Erasmus Plus Project “Farmers Competences Coalition”.

On Saturday 24th of February, The partners: World Farmers Markets Coalition (project leader), E-CO|Contenuti, tecnologie e soluzioni per il Digital Learning (Italy), Udruga Hrvatskih Tržnica (Croatia) and Xarxa de Consum Solidari (Barcelona) met in Rome, in Circo Massimo farmers market, for the launch event.

During the meeting, the presentation of the design of the Asynchronous Platform and the discussion of the following planning activities.

The main goal of the project is to reduce the digital divide among farmers, giving them tools to improve competitiveness and making the production system more resilient and more sustainable, in which capacity building activities are crucial.

In order to do that, the creation of an e-learning platform specifically designed to take care of the needs of the target audience, making farmers and FM managers more competitive and aware.

The project is divided into three different activities in which each partner as a specific role. The first one is the co-design and validation of the Asynchronous platform made by E-CO |Contenuti, tecnologie e soluzioni per il Digital Learning. The second one, held by Udruga Hrvatskih Tržnica, is based on content creation and sharing. Finally, the last activity of testing and promotion will be developed by Xarxa de Consum Solidari. All the operational terms will be coordinated by World Farmers Markets Coalition

The whole project envisages the participation of 50 farms in Italy, 30 in Croatia and 30 in Spain and 12 market operators, 4 for each country involved for a total of 140 enterprises and 12 operators expected to be involved.
