With Campagna Amica, Coldiretti and Filiera Italia, The World Farmers Markets Coalition will be in New York to attend Summer Fancy Food Show, the world’s most important food and beverage exhibition organised by the Specialty Food Association, held at the Javits Center in New York from 23-25 June.
For the third year consecutively, a delegation of Agrichef and farmers from all over Italy will attend to raise awareness of authentic cuisine.
In particular, on the morning of 24 June, an initiative organized together with GrowNYC will be organized at the Greenmarket in Union Square to celebrate the partnership – Sister Market – between this important market in New York and that of Circo Massimo in Rome, the largest in Italy and Europe. The aim of the initiative is to promote, through common actions, the consumption of local food by means of show-cooking performed by Agrichef, who will be engaged in the preparation of traditional Italian and Mediterranean dishes with the products they will buy directly from American farmers.
This will be followed by a demonstration and tasting of Water Buffalo Mozzarella freshly prepared by one of the masters — Mimmo La Vecchia of il Casolare in Campagna.
