#ErasmusDays: 6 days to make the EU shine!!!

The #ErasmusDays are an international six-day celebration of the Erasmus+ programme.

During the #ErasmusDays, taking place between the 14th and the 19th October 2024, people throughout the world are invited to come together and either organize or participate at events that celebrate the projects and opportunities proposed by Erasmus+

As beneficiaries of this historic EU programme, how could we miss the opportunity to celebrate it by promoting the ‘Farmers’ Market Competences‘ project in our partners’ markets?

The WorldFMC, Xarxa de consum solidari and Udruga hrvatskih tržnica will celebrate it in their markets in Zagreb, Barcelona and Rome! A rich calendar of appointments will attend the consumers of our farmers markets! In Zagreb organized by Udruga hrvatskih tržnica at the Kvatrić Market with the participation of Richard McCarthy, President of the World Farmers Markets Coalition, in Barcelona, hosted by the  Mercado de Campesinos de Barcelona of  Xarxa de consum solidari with the intervention of Carmelo Troccoli, Director General of the WorldFMC and the third in Rome, headquarters of the Coalition, at the Campagna Amica market at the Circo Massimo with the participation of Sonia Mucci, Administrative Responsible of the WorldFMC.

The aim of the project “Farmers markets competences Coalition” is to support farmers’ markets to become useful tools for promoting a sustainable food distribution system by strengthening the skills of farmers and market managers who participate in them. This will contribute to the achievement of the European Green Deal and the Farm to Fork strategy. The project intends to accomplish this by reducing the digital gap among farmers, providing them with tools to improve their competitiveness, thereby making the production system more resilient and sustainable.

An e-learning platform specifically designed with the needs of this target audience in mind:tailored content and basic digital skills. Exchange of good practices and innovative solutions at the European and international levels, including those selected through the Erasmus+ project results platforms and EPALE. Training materials for farmers and market managers translated into four languages (Italian, English, Croatian, and Spanish).
