Beijing Farmers Market:
Beijing Farmers’ Market was founded in 2010 by a group of international artists to connect small organic producers with consumers. Over the years, it has grown into a social enterprise that runs 2-3 markets a week, two community shops and a small online business, supporting over 100 smallholder organic producers around the country. It also incubated a non-profit – Foodthink – to advocate for a sustainable and fair agri-food system in China and beyond.
Beijing Farmers’ Market has inspired many other markets in China and is now at the center of China’s Farmers’ Market network and food movement.

Sabe La Tierra
Sabe la Tierra is a pioneering network of sustainable markets in Argentina that, for over 15 years, has been building bridges between small local producers and urban communities. Our mission is to create spaces where people can access healthy food, sustainable products, and meaningful connections, while promoting a local, circular, and conscious economy.
We currently organize around 40 monthly markets across Buenos Aires City and Province, offering a unique meeting point between over 500 small-scale producers, farmers, and entrepreneurs and thousands of neighbors seeking to live more sustainably. Our markets feature a curated mix of fresh, seasonal, and agroecological produce, natural foods, plant-based and gluten-free gastronomy, eco-friendly design, cosmetics, and textiles, all produced under principles of environmental and social responsibility.
Beyond being a commercial space, Sabe la Tierra functions as a community hub. We host workshops, talks, and participatory activities on urban farming, composting, healthy cooking, and sustainable habits. Through these initiatives, we aim to educate, inspire, and connect urban citizens with the people behind their food and products, generating a culture of trust and transparency in local consumption.
Our impact goes beyond markets: we have generated employment and inclusion for over 500 families, encouraged circular practices such as waste reduction and composting, and contributed to shaping Buenos Aires’ gastronomic and sustainable culture.
By integrating community, sustainability, and local economy, Sabe la Tierra has become a reference for how urban markets can regenerate social and environmental value, while offering a vibrant and inspiring experience for everyone who visits.
We are thrilled to join the World Farmers Market community, to share our experience, exchange knowledge, and continue expanding the positive impact of community-based, sustainable markets worldwide.
