Chișinău, Moldova – June 7, 2025 – The EcoLocal Farmers Market Moldova hosted the 8th edition of the Children’s Fair, offering 13 young participants, aged between 5 and 13, the chance to take their first steps into the world of entrepreneurship.
For three vibrant hours, the market has been transformed into a playground for creativity and initiative. The children took on the roles of real vendors: setting up their stalls, selling handmade products, engaging with visitors, handling money, and even giving interviews to local media.
The atmosphere was warm and sincere, filled with artisanal goods and genuine enthusiasm. Visitors enjoyed homemade lemonade, cakes, vegan sweets, and traditional pastries, as well as hand-crafted bracelets, wooden toys, and custom-made backpacks – all proudly presented by the young entrepreneurs.
“This fair is a launchpad for confidence and a space where children can discover their talents,” said the organizers from EcoLocal Farmers Market Moldova. “They learn about the value of work and money, take real responsibility, and become deeply engaged. The encouragement they receive from the public gives them confidence in their abilities.”
The event highlights how child-centered initiatives can have a strong and lasting impact – not just educationally, but as a tool for development of essential life skills: communication, responsibility, creativity, teamwork, and initiative.
