Our Academy has two more Studios planned for the year of 2024, and we are hoping that they will yet be the best ones to finish the year on a high note.
Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS), or also loosely called Participatory Certification, are locally focused quality assurance systems that provide standards and tools for organic producer certification which certify producers based on active participation of stakeholders. We know many farmarkets markets all over the world do this. We also know that these processes are built on a foundation of trust, social networks and knowledge exchange.
At the WorldFMC Academy Studio this month, we have invited an expert Flávia Moura e Castro to come share with us about what this looks like as a big picture, including successes and challenges, and participate in a conversation with her and some of our own members who practice PGS in Morocco, Vietnam, Brazil, and Mexico. Come learn about this important work, and get your questions answered!
